A great charity tournament polo does three things at once: makes players feel the event is well-run, gives sponsors real visual equity, and ends up in players' regular rotation afterward (so the brand keeps traveling). Cheap tournament polos do none of these things. They get worn once and donated.

The Tournament Polo Specification

Sponsor Placement Strategy

Sponsors pay for visibility. A tournament polo has four embroidery slots, each with different value tiers.

• Left chest (prime): Event master logo. This is never a sponsor placement.
• Right chest: Top-tier title sponsor. Most expensive real estate.
• Left sleeve: Mid-tier sponsor. Visible when the player swings, particularly in broadcast.
• Right sleeve: Lower-tier sponsor or event host club.
• Back yoke: Reserved for printed-on-demand sponsor rotations year-over-year.

Ordering Timeline

1. 12 weeks out: Confirm sponsor tiers and collect sponsor logos in vector format.
2. 10 weeks out: Approve the polo design, color, and embroidery layout. Get a sew-out proof.
3. 8 weeks out: Lock the size breakdown. Send size registration to all confirmed players.
4. 6 weeks out: Place the bulk order. Production begins.
5. 2 weeks out: Polos arrive. Sort into named bags by player.
6. Event day: Distribute at registration. Reserve 10% extra across sizes for walk-ins.
