Custom Cycling Jerseys for Clubs and Teams: Jerseys, Bibs and Full Kits

Mile 30 at the gas station: the only time the whole club stands still.

A custom cycling jersey for a club or team comes down to four choices: short or long sleeves, jersey only or a full kit with bib shorts, a men's or women's fit for each rider, and where the sponsor logos go. Ours are sublimated edge to edge and made to order from a single piece, with jerseys from $35.95 and full jersey and bib kits from $74.95.

A club kit is worn every weekend for seasons; a charity ride kit has one big day; a race kit carries sponsors who paid to be seen. This guide covers custom team cycling jerseys for each job, using the five pieces in our custom cycling jerseys collection.

What Goes Into a Good Custom Cycling Jersey?

A good club jersey fits like cycling clothing rather than a loose tee, carries the design on every panel without cracking, and comes with bib shorts that match.

Every piece in our cycling range is sublimated: the ink bonds into the polyester fibres, so the design becomes part of the fabric. Nothing cracks or peels when the jersey stretches, and the print covers the front, back, sides and sleeves, so a full gradient costs the same as a chest logo. Our all over print guide explains the method in detail.

The jerseys are fitted, with a full-length front zipper a rider can open on a long climb. That cut is what separates real custom cycling apparel from a printed running shirt, and it is why we make bib shorts to match.

Jersey, Bibs or Full Kit: The Five Pieces We Make

We make a short sleeve jersey, a long sleeve jersey, padded bib shorts, and two full kits that pair a jersey with bibs in one design. Every piece is printed to order, from one piece.

Piece What it is Sizes Price
Short sleeve cycling jersey Fitted jersey, full-length zipper in white or black Men's XS to 3XL, women's XS to 2XL $35.95
Long sleeve cycling jersey The same jersey with long sleeves Men's XS to 3XL, women's XS to 2XL $37.95
Cycling bibs Padded bib shorts in 170 GSM polyester mesh Unisex S to 4XL $49.95
Cycling kit, short sleeve Short sleeve jersey plus matching bibs Jersey and bib size chosen separately $74.95
Bike kit, long sleeve Long sleeve jersey plus matching bibs Jersey and bib size chosen separately $77.95

For a full club order, custom bike kits are the better buy: a short sleeve jersey and bibs bought separately come to $85.90, against $74.95 for the custom cycling kit. The long sleeve custom bike kit works the same way at $77.95.

Separate pieces suit riders who already own shorts they love; the custom cycling bibs also sell on their own as a second pair. We do not make gilets, arm warmers or skinsuits.

Short Sleeve or Long Sleeve: Match the Jersey to Your Season

Choose short sleeves for summer road rides, gravel days and long climbs, and long sleeves for cool mornings, spring and autumn rides and mountain bike trails. The long sleeve version costs $2 more.

Most clubs start with the custom short sleeve cycling jersey, worn from May to September. A custom long sleeve jersey in the same approved artwork is the natural second order when mornings turn cold.

Riders shopping for MTB jerseys often prefer long sleeves too. Both jerseys use the same light polyester, so long sleeves add wind coverage, not insulation: this is not a thermal winter jersey. Chest sizes are identical across both styles, so a men's M is a men's M in either.

Men's and Women's Fits, Zipper Colour and Sizing a Club Roster

Every jersey comes in a men's fit from size XS to 3XL and a women's fit from XS to 2XL, with a white or black zipper. Bib shorts are one unisex cut from S to 4XL, and in a kit the jersey and bib sizes are chosen separately.

Piece Sizes Key measurement, smallest to largest
Men's jersey XS to 3XL Chest 94 cm (37.0 in) to 130 cm (51.2 in)
Women's jersey XS to 2XL Chest 83 cm (32.7 in) to 108 cm (42.5 in)
Bib shorts (unisex) S to 4XL Hip 94 cm (37.0 in) to 121 cm (47.6 in)

Collect sizes by measurement, not shop size. The women's jersey is cut narrower: a women's L has a 98 cm chest and a men's L 112 cm. Charts are measured flat by hand, so allow 1 to 2 cm. Kits take separate top and bottom sizes, so a women's S jersey with L bibs is no problem, and a rider who needs more room than the women's 2XL can move to the men's fit.

A black zipper disappears into a dark design and a white one into a light design; pick one for the whole club. Then list every rider in one spreadsheet: fit, jersey size, bib size and any name to print.

Fabric: Light Polyester Jersey, Padded Mesh Bibs

The jerseys are light, breathable polyester. The bib shorts are 170 GSM polyester mesh with over-the-shoulder straps and a padded chamois. Both fabrics are breathable and take the sublimated print.

Sublimation only bonds to polyester, so neither piece is a cotton blend. Shoulder straps replace a waistband, so nothing digs in when a rider is bent over the bars; the chamois absorbs road vibration, and snug leg openings keep the shorts in place.

We do not publish a UPF, wicking or compression rating for these pieces, so we do not promise one. Rear pocket details are not listed on the product pages either; if your riders rely on jersey pockets, email us to confirm before you order.

Sponsor Logo Layout for Custom Team Cycling Jerseys

Put the club name and title sponsor on the chest and upper back, secondary sponsors on the side panels and sleeves, and a small logo on the bib legs. Sublimation prints any colour, so every sponsor logo reproduces as sent.

Riders see each other from behind and the side; photographers shoot from the front. That gives custom bike jerseys a clear order:

Zone What goes there Why
Chest Club name and title sponsor Event and finish line photos are taken from the front
Upper back Title sponsor again, large The rider behind looks at it for hours
Side panels Two to four secondary sponsors Visible from the side in a paceline
Sleeves One small logo or a flag per sleeve Seen at the café stop and in photos
Bib legs Club name or one sponsor Moves with every pedal stroke

A logo centred on the chest is split by the zipper, so set chest text slightly to one side. Past ten or so logos, jersey designs look busy, so group the smallest sponsors low on the back. Ask every sponsor for a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) the day they sign; a high-resolution PNG also works.

To design your own cycling jersey, you do not need design templates or a 3D tool, and we do not offer either. Send a logo and colours, a sketch or finished artwork, and our team will design your jersey layout at no charge; custom jersey design is part of every order. You see your design on a free mockup within 24 hours. You can design your own bike jersey from a blank page, but most custom bike jersey design projects start from a logo and three colour codes.

Personalized Cycling Jersey Options: Names, Numbers and One-Offs

Each rider's name, a number or a flag prints as part of the design at no extra cost. Because every piece is printed individually, a personalized cycling jersey for one rider costs the same as a club jersey.

Send a list with each rider's name next to their size, and we place the names in the same spot on every jersey, usually across the upper back or down a sleeve. Race numbers and flags work the same way. A rider who wants a one-of-one custom riding jersey in their own unique design, for a first century or a memorial ride, can order just one. Charity rides often order custom jerseys with every fundraiser's name.

If riders pay for their own kits, our spirit wear team store guide shows how to collect orders. Our guide to personalized sports gear for clubs has more ideas.

Ordering a Club Kit From 1 Piece: Cost and Timeline

A custom cycling jersey costs $35.95 short sleeve or $37.95 long sleeve, and a full kit $74.95 or $77.95, from one piece. Orders of more than 20 pieces get a better price per piece, and delivery is 12 to 18 business days after mockup approval.

Start with one sample kit, let two riders test it on a real ride, then place the club order. With a minimum order of one piece, new members can top up mid-season in ones and twos. Logos, names and file preparation are included, with no setup fees. For more than 20 pieces, send your quantity through our contact page and we will quote the per-piece price before you commit.

Custom Cycling Jersey FAQ

Quick answers to what club secretaries, team managers and ride organisers ask us most often.

What is the minimum order for a custom cycling jersey?

One piece. Every piece is printed individually, so a club can order one sample kit before outfitting the whole team.

How much does a custom cycling jersey cost?

The short sleeve jersey is $35.95 and the long sleeve jersey is $37.95. Bib shorts are $49.95, and full kits are $74.95 short sleeve or $77.95 long sleeve. Orders of more than 20 pieces get a better price per piece.

Do you make cycling jerseys in a women's fit?

Yes. Every jersey comes in a men's fit from XS to 3XL and a women's fit from XS to 2XL. The bib shorts are one unisex cut from S to 4XL.

Can I design the bib shorts to match the jersey?

Yes. We line up the colours and logos across both pieces, straps included, so the kit reads as one design.

Is there an online tool to design my own cycling jersey?

No. Send a logo, colours, a sketch or finished artwork and our team lays out the jersey for free. You see the design on a digital mockup within 24 hours.

Are the jerseys UPF rated or moisture-wicking?

The jerseys are light, breathable polyester. We do not publish a UPF, wicking or quick-dry rating for them, so we do not claim one.

How long does delivery take?

12 to 18 business days from mockup approval, covering production, inspection and tracked shipping worldwide. For a fixed event date, email support@forteraapparel.com before ordering.

What if the kit does not match the approved mockup?

We remake it at no cost. The remake-it-free guarantee covers print misalignment, colour mismatch and size defects.
