Custom Dart Jerseys: Team Shirts With Names, Nicknames and Sponsors

Tuesday night, leg three: the only uniform this sport needs is the shirt.

Custom dart jerseys for a league team come down to three choices: a sublimated polo or a button-up camp shirt with a chest pocket, how each player's name and nickname appear, and where the sponsor logos go. Ours are printed edge to edge from 1 piece, with polos at $35.95 and pocket camp shirts at $38.95, and every shirt on the team can carry a different name at the same price.

Darts has no pads, helmets or field numbers, so the shirt does all the work: it tells the room which team is throwing, who the player is and which bar is paying for the entry fees. This guide covers custom dart shirts for pub leagues, steel tip and soft tip teams and weekend tournaments, using the pieces in our custom dart jerseys collection.

What Dart Teams Wear on League Night

Most dart teams wear a matching collared shirt, usually a polo printed edge to edge in team colours, with the team name on the front, each player's nickname across the back and the host bar's logo as the sponsor.

Darts jerseys borrowed a lot from bowling shirts: bold graphics, flames, flags, lightning, a dartboard somewhere in the print and a nickname everyone already uses at the bar. The difference is the cut. Most darts players prefer a polo collar, and a growing number want a chest pocket for flights, spare shafts and a tip tool.

Some leagues and tournaments ask teams to wear matching shirts, and some ask for collars, so check your league's rules before you pick a style. A collared polo covers both. After that, team jerseys in darts have one job: look like a team from across a busy room.

Polo, Camp Shirt or Tee: Choosing Custom Dart Shirts

Pick the all over print polo for the classic dart jersey look, the camp shirt if players want a pocket, and the henley or tee for a looser feel. All of them are sublimated and made to order from a single piece.

Style Best for Sizes Price
All over print polo The classic dart jersey, men's and women's cuts Men's S to 6XL, women's S to 4XL $35.95
Long sleeve all over print polo Winter leagues and cold halls S to 4XL $37.95
Camp shirt (custom Hawaiian shirt) Teams that want a left chest pocket S to 5XL $38.95
Henley A button placket without a collar S to 5XL $35.95
All over print t-shirt Casual leagues and fun nights S to 5XL $28.95

Most teams start with the custom AOP polo: the design prints across the front, back, sleeves and collar, so a full flame or flag pattern costs the same as a plain colour. For winter leagues, the long sleeve AOP polo takes the same artwork.

Players who hate collars often like the custom henley, a three-button shirt in a linen-look 170 GSM fabric. The collection also holds pre-made polo designs at $35.95 if you would rather not start from a blank page.

Custom Dart Jerseys With Pockets: Choose the Camp Shirt

Our all over print polo has no chest pocket. If your players want one, choose the custom Hawaiian shirt: a camp collar shirt with a left chest pocket, printed edge to edge from 1 piece at $38.95.

Better to say it now than have a captain find out when the box arrives. For a pocket, the custom Hawaiian shirt is the right shirt. It is a classic camp shirt cut: open camp collar, full button front, a patch pocket on the left chest, short sleeves and a straight hem worn untucked.

The print covers the pocket too. We can run the pattern straight across it, or print the team logo or the player's name on the pocket itself. It comes in three fabrics, Stretch Poly 120 GSM, Grid Texture 120 GSM and Linen-Look 145 GSM, in sizes S to 5XL.

A team can also mix. The same artwork prints on the polo and the camp shirt, so players who want a pocket get one and the rest keep the polo, and the team still looks like a team.

Fabric, Fit and Sizes for a Whole Team

Every dart jersey we make is sublimated, so it is printed on polyester. The polo comes in 150, 170 or 230 GSM, the camp shirt in three fabrics from 120 to 145 GSM, and the men's polo runs up to 6XL.

In sublimation, the ink turns to gas under heat and bonds into the polyester fibres, so the design becomes part of the fabric. It will not crack or peel, and a photo, gradient or ten-colour logo costs the same as one colour. That is why sublimated jerseys are never cotton. We print the finished jersey for you. If you want blank sublimation shirts instead, ask us through the quote form or at support@forteraapparel.com.

Shirt Fabric Sizes
AOP polo, men's 92% polyester, 8% spandex in 150, 170 or 230 GSM S to 6XL
AOP polo, women's 92% polyester, 8% spandex in 150 or 170 GSM S to 4XL
Camp shirt with pocket Stretch Poly 120 GSM, Grid Texture 120 GSM or Linen-Look 145 GSM S to 5XL
AOP t-shirt 95% polyester, 5% spandex, 180 GSM S to 5XL

On the polo, 150 GSM mesh is the lightest, 170 GSM is our standard all-rounder and 230 GSM is heavier with a smarter look; the women's cut comes in 150 or 170 GSM. The blend has four-way stretch, so the throwing arm moves freely.

For sizing, measure a shirt each player already likes and compare it with the size details on the product page. If a player sits between two sizes, email us before you order.

Names, Nicknames and Numbers on Every Jersey

Each shirt is printed individually, so every player's name, nickname and number goes into the design without changing the price. A dart jersey custom made for one player costs the same $35.95 as one in a team order.

The usual layout puts the nickname in big letters across the upper back, where the room reads it while the player is at the line. The player's real name goes small on the chest, opposite the team logo. Numbers work the same way: a league player number, a captain's "C" on the sleeve or a lucky number on the collar.

Send one spreadsheet with each player's name, nickname, number and size, spelled exactly as you want them printed. One or two words read best from across the bar.

Sponsor Logos: Where They Go on Darts Jerseys

Put the main sponsor, usually the bar that hosts your home matches, under the nickname on the back, and smaller sponsors on the sleeves. Sublimation prints any colour, so a full-colour logo costs nothing extra.

Zone What goes there Why
Left chest or pocket Team logo Seen in every handshake and team photo
Right chest Player's name Opponents and markers can read it up close
Upper back Nickname, large The room watches the thrower's back
Lower back Main sponsor Sits right under the nickname every throw
Sleeves One smaller sponsor or a flag per sleeve Visible from the side of the oche
Collar Team name or league name, small A finishing detail on the polo

Past six or so logos a shirt looks busy, so group small sponsors on the lower back. Ask each sponsor for a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) the day they sign; a high-resolution PNG or JPG also works.

You do not need design software. Send logos, colours and a rough sketch, and our team lays out the jersey at no charge. Most custom jerseys start this way.

Cost and Timeline for a Team or a Whole League

A six-player team in polos comes to $215.70, names and sponsors included. Because the minimum is one shirt, a new player who joins mid-season gets a matching jersey without a reorder of the whole team.
